My Bio
I am Jawad Rahman, a high school senior at Information Technology High School. I am currently in the final year of the Web Design CTE academy, being the Web Client Programming year of the academy. I was initially interested about the Web Design Academy for learning how to code my own computer programs and being able to get good paying jobs out of high school. When learning about the academy, I found out that I would learn how to code a website, and aspiring to learn how to code at the time, I was keen on introducing my self to the world of coding by making websites. I also learned I could get a job that pays as much as a teacher's salary straight out of high school, so the money made it enticing to join. After two years of this academy, I have passed AP CSP and got a 5 on the exam. I have gotten an ACA certification in Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop. I have created various games with JavaScript, two of which were entered into competitions, one making it to finals, and the other winning the competition (both these games were made with a team). In my final year of Web Design, I wish to master jQuery and use it to make my sites interactive, all while practicing the other skills I've garnered over the years so I can make great websites. I hope to learn real world skills, such as managing my finances, so I'm ready for the world of work out of high school. Just like last year, I seek to enter more game competitions and win more of them, and lastly, I intend to have a strong, attractive portfolio that will make me a viable candidate for jobs after I'm done with high school.
One of my personal hobbies include playing video games and learning about various topics (world issues, science, etc.). By playing video games, I witness the elements of what make a game enjoyable and the clever design choices first hand. It allows me to improve my own games and makes me appreciate how hard developer work to make my favorite games what they are. Learning about various topics keep my mind well rounded and knowledgeable and I always enjoy exploring the various complexities behind an issue. I also like to look at a bunch of memes, if that counts as a hobby. My dream is to become a software engineer one day. I want to make software that is innovative and bring convenience to the tedious processes of everyday lives. My goal is by the time I get my graduate's degree, I would've started my own software developing firm. I look forward to this year and hope it will help me reach my goals.
